Our music

 

Calusa is pleased to offer a variety of musical groups for student participation. The diversity of groups allow us to maximize student participation according to student interest and desire for self expression.

 

Please visit the seperate menu item, The Amanti String Program. Learn about the wonderful lady, Joan Amanti, who through her generous donation has made it possible to provide this opportunity to the students of Calusa Elementary.  

 

 

Calusa Senior Chorus

 

The Calusa Senior Chorus is made up of students from grades 3-5. No auditions are required to be a part of this group. Students must maintain school-wide expectations in order to be a part of this group. 

 

Students learn advanced vocal techniques and develop their skills to sing in parts. As performers, this group travels to locations outside of the county at high exposure events. Most recently, the senior chorus performed at Disney World. Check out our videos below.

Calusa Junior Chorus

 

 

The Calusa Junior Chorus is made up of students from grades 1-2. No auditions are required to be a part of this group. Students must maintain school-wide expectations in order to be a part of this group. 

 

Students learn beginner vocal techniques and develop their skills to understand how to sing in an ensemble. The focus is to ground students in good vocal habits and discover their voices. As performers, this group performs at our school Winter and Spring concerts.

 

​The Amanti Orff Ensemble

 

The Amanti Orff ensemble is made up of students from grades 4 & 5. The ensemble began in the 2013-2014 school season through the generous donation of the Joan Amanti Fund. 

 

Students develop music aural and reading skills through instrument playing. As an ensemble, the group performs at our Winter and Spring concerts.
